What’s New on the NYSDEC Website
Unisys plans to progress with soil cleanup north through the Track and Football Field area in Fall 2020 through Spring 2021 (IRM #4A and IRM #5). Precautions will be undertaken to minimize disruption of EHS activities as cleanup work continues. IRM #6, adjacent to the Gymnasium is planned for Summer 2021 while school is out of session. Like previous IRMs, contaminated soil will be excavated and taken off-site for appropriate disposal or reused. IRM work plans are being developed that will address methods for excavation and offsite disposal, truck traffic, dust monitoring, and site restoration and will be made available in advance of the cleanup.
